Finally, I get reply from two universities in England that I applied last month.

LSE rejected me.

And University of Reading gives me an condition offer.

Pretty sad that my application to LSE is rejected. But well, I'm not the top student so I guess I just have to accept the fact that the No1 Law School in the uk is not gonna considers taking a student that are weak as their student.

Damn, I'm still upset. It has always been a dream of me to study in LSE.

And this sadness actually leads me into thinking for whole night.

I also actually consider to take a gap year so that I can reapply to LSE!

My mum actually think that I'm too obsessed with LSE and London. According to her, University of Reading could be a good place as it's near to London (45mins by car,30mins by train), and it's not in London (which, the living costs will be lower).

在Belfast几天，都没有Homesick的感觉，可是那个早晨，我突然就想念我的家了。

过于耀眼的阳光，以一条直线照射入我的眼睛，我闭上眼，转身。

再张开眼的时候，我仿佛看见了家人的影子，然后，我就想念他们了。

之前在Belfast还有朋友陪我，到了Dublin后就自己一个人了。

自己一个人走在路上的时候，一阵冷风吹过，我打了个喷嚏，一个路过的人说：Bless You。

我对他微微一笑，继续自己的路程。

我的Ipod里有这首歌，阿桑的“叶子”。

在St.Stephen'sGreen的时候，我找了一个木制的长凳，坐在那边听着这首歌。

我一个吃饭、旅行、到处走走停停。

也一个人看书、写信、自己对话谈心。

觉得有点寂寞，但是却又享受这种平静的寂寞。

或许是因为已经到过伦敦，所以对我来说它不算是一个陌生的地方。

每个早上，我都在房里睡到自然醒，醒来的时候，就拉开帘子。

我住的地方对面是学生宿舍，但是却不会很喧闹。

冬天，并不需要开冷气，而是需要开暖气。

但是伦敦的天气那几天特别的好，冷气暖气都不需要开，也不会觉得怎样。

在伦敦的几天，遇见了大大小小的好事坏事。

有人说伦敦的人都不友善，其实我觉得他们的不友善是有原因的。

伦敦是个大城市，住了很多外国人。外国人在别人的国家，都必须提高警惕，不能够轻易相信别人，这是因为要顾及自己的安危。

而他们的警惕久而久之，就变成了不友善。

也因为在伦敦发生的那些犯罪案，让他们对人性感到失望，觉得很多人都不是好人，所以收回了原本对陌生人展现出的那一抹笑容。

在杜拜转机，发现在机场里工作的员工很国际化。

你会看见黑人白人黄皮肤人。

不同于伦敦，杜拜这的人比较友善，服务态度也好很多。

还有那机场的室内设计，真的很美很豪华。

因为一个人走，所以也没有真正去探索杜拜机场的每个可以通行的角落，只是买了瓶水和面包，就坐在椅子上边吃边等。

飞机飞上天空时候，看见了世界最高的建筑物。

真的很美很美。

下次，我一定会再来。不是转机，而是旅行。

陪伴我旅行的是我在Dublin买的这本书，One Day。

已经拍成电影了，回来槟城的时候看了电影，却觉得还是书好看多了。

里面有一句话，很简单的一句话，但却很有意思。

一个朋友收到了我一直向往的大学-LSE的Offer Letter,这才发现当别人向成功迈进一步时，我还在原地站着。
真的应该好好检讨了。

有人告诉我，人最想要的不是钱，而是权。

想起一句话：当你喜欢一个人的时候，他的缺点在你看来都会是用来凸显出他优点的优点。

还有一个朋友，曾经觉得他被另一个人骗了，想要告诉他，却发现其实并不可以。
所以我用了一个现在自己认为真的很无聊的手段来杜绝自己和他的来往。
我以为不说话，不见面，就能让我不去理会他受骗的事实。
后来才明白，其实不用太在意他受骗的事实，人家都不在意了，你一个当朋友的在意个屁？！
现在这样子想，反而觉得轻松得很。我真的应该停止把自己当成Mother Teresa,到处都要帮人。

我真的真的太爱旅行了。
从小时候到现在，去过了泰国、新加坡、香港、中国、韩国、台湾、澳洲、英国、爱尔兰。自己曾在杜拜转机，所以...也算去过那吧？
除了韩国和中国之外，我大多时候都会很享受在异国的不同生活方式。
去年，有机会第一次自己旅行，回来后更是明白为什么有些人喜欢独自旅行。
安静、自由、舒适。
这是我对solo travel的看法。
在一个陌生的地方，一个人走在街上，背着一个背包，听着不同的人说着不同的语言，去看不一样的地方，吃着别人国家的食物。
这感觉，是我们在自己生长的地方找不到。

我不想要一辈子都和别人一样在盲目地追求大多数人所追求的。
我不需要对任何人交待，也不需要为谁负责任。
我做的事情，只要对得起自己，能够对自己交待，能够将自己还有家人照顾好，那就可以了。

Everything is strange sometimes. It makes me stop and wonder, "what the hell is wrong with everybody?"

I like to think that there's nothing wrong with others but myself. Because it's easier to change myself to be a better person than changing someone else to become a nice person.

I tried, but I don't think that I want to do this again.

That's why I stop doing all those things. I'm trying to live a better life, without all the negative relationships.

By the way, I discovered a strange actions of human when I was in Dublin. Okay maybe I'm not the first one to notice about this, but that was the first time I realised that how human faced changes.

In life, we will take some people for granted. We assume that since they love us so much, they won't leave us just like this. But what we do not know is that people get tired eventually. People walk away from our life if they do not feel needed anymore.

And when these people leave, we will feel angry at first. Why are them doing this? We feel that they actions are unreasonable? They are tired of me? Why? What did I do?
We do nothing, that's why.

We saw their love, but we choose to ignore them.

Love is limited. And nobody is borned to please you or to do anything for you.

After some times, we finally realise we are the root to this problem.

We try to find those people again. We want them back in our life.

What goes around comes around.They do not want us anymore.

We show them sign of remorse, but that does not give much helps.

And so we will start chasing behind their back until they are come back to us.

At the same time, someone else had already come into our life and replaced their place, we just don't know or don't want to know yet. And these things happen again and again and again.

Flying back to London from Dublin today. Feel a little bit and excited in the same time. Dublin is really a very lovely place, with all these lovely people.

Reached London on 1200, decide to stay in airport and buy myself a cup of iced peach tea and start reading my book because I can only check in to the apartment on 1500. But I get bored so I take a cab to my apartment which is located between 4 underground stations!!! What a good location I get!

And the staffs, they are amazing. Love this apartment.

I wake up very late today, at 10.30am, maybe it's because I stayed up late to read my new book 'One Day'. Don't really feel like going out today but I realise it's the last day for me in Dublin, and I haven't find that fcking entrance to Trinity College yet.
It's almost 12pm when I reach the bus stop. I wait for the tour bus for around 30minutes and start cursing that tour company for being late in the phone. ( I wason the phone with my sister ) I decide tocheck the timetable again and guess what, it's not the company's fult, I myself see the wrong time.
So finally with the help of the tour bus, I manage to find that entrance to Trinity college, snaps a few photos and walk to the river side to take more photos. This is e first time ever that I feel hungry since I got here, i try to look for thai foods and when i finally find it, the manager apologise to me and say that they're closed. I end up taking this really suck lunch at this really suck so called 'chinese fast foods' shop. Not to mention when i was having my lunch, that weird staff keeps staring at me like im some weird creature.
Went to shop fpr souveniers gor my family at the famous Temple Bar then walk tothis shopping centre because i saw there's sales for H&M. Still didn'tbuy anything though. I became so stingy after i got here, not bcause the stuffs here are expensive, it's just i don't really feel like buying anything.
Oh then i saw this japanese foods restaurant near the shopping centre. The foods are so nice.... Love the avocado!
When i reach hotel, i take a bath then go down to the lobby to check my next day flight to London. When i want to go back to my room, there's this whole group of young people wearing christmsd hats and singing song to everyone in the lobby. So much fun. Haha. Can't believe three days pass so fast. I'm gonna miss Dublin. :)

I slept at around 1930 yesterday night and wake up at 0730. The sky is still dark out there, so I just sit on my bed playing my Ipad and texting my sister. I call my mum too and we talk for half an hour I guess. My brothers are going back home today from Shanghai. I am kinda sad when I hear that because I miss my brothers so much. I havent see them for two weeks and I will only be going home next week. and the thing is, im not really going home. When i landed in kl, i will be staying with my sister in her apartment for dont know how many days before i fly back to penang. I really really miss that two little monkeys.
Anyway, the hostel offers breakfast which i didnt go and eat, because im not hungry. Actually i havent been eating much since i got here. One meal per day i would say and people around me were making fun of me, saying stuffs like : chee wei u gonna slim down, wah chee wei u no fat anymore now, chee wei seriously, etc... Haha. I just doesnt feel like eating, plus the foods here, like said, are very expensive.
When I walk pass St.Patrick's Cathedral, there's this university student riding his bike, singing christmas song and say hello very cheerfully to me. This made my day. The friendliness of Irish people is a true story. Most of them are really nice people. I go on a tour bus, and tour around the city. After the tour,i go into Carroll's, a shop that sells souveniers and buy something for my family. i'm a postcards collector so i buy many postcards too. I saw this book called 'one day' when in was in my friend's hostel. I read a few pages and really like it so when i see this book shop selling the book, i go in and buy the book, oh and stamps too. 10 stamps for 8.89euro.
I have my lunch in McDonalds, and write postcards there. There are some people staring at me maybe because I'm alone? Lol i have no idea, maybe people are usually not alone in Dublin. the general post office is just few blocks away from McDonalds, i post my postcards when i pass by.
A black girl asks me direction to go to this 'Heineken' building when i am lost looking for the entrance of Trinity College. it is kinda funny because i actually know the way to Heineken building. I tell her the direction ( not sure whether she understand my english or not) and continue to look for the entrance for trinity college.
The sky is getting darker after I wander for hours. So i walk into COSTA and order a hot chocolate. I take my book out and read for a few minutes then decide to go on internet. The 100minutes internet costs me fcking 10euro.
When its 1830++ , i decide to walk back to my hostel because its really really dark outside. when i got back into my lovely room, i clean myself und read my new book until i fall asleep.

Wake up at 4am, pack all my stuffs, then take a cab to Belfast Central Station. Then only I realise the train station will not open until 8am. Luckily the guard let me in and wait inside the train station instead of just ignore me and let me freezing outside.
At 9am, I get my train ticket. It takes 2.15hrs to go to Dublin from Belfast. When i get on train, I have totally no clue where should I put my super big size luggage at, and this kind old man appear and help me to keep my luggage. When we reach Dublin, he even helps me to take my luggage down from the train.
I take a cab instead of LUAS to my hostel. When i reach there, the receptionist say it's too early and the room is not prepared yet. So i wait in the lobby for 3hours to check in! After checking in, I go out to wander at the famous Temple Bar and have my lunch+dinner. Gosh the things in Dublin is so damn expensive!!! The foods are over-priced! The day in winter time is shorter here, therefore I walk back to my hostel at 1800 because it's getting darker.
1900, im already in my pyjamas, playing Ipad, then looking at some information about the tourist attraction in Dublin and fall asleep.
At night, I've been awaken by noises. Sigh guess that's the disadvantge of hostel. People can be really loud here.

Tomorrow my friend will be flying to London and I will take a train to Dublin. She has not pack her things yet, so I say let's just stay in hostel and rest today. We walk out to SPAR buy potatoes and mustard to make potato salad. We are suppose to make the potato salad together but in the end my friend is the one who do most of the works.
At night, her friend invites me together to their ... Hrm ... Little party? I left earlier though, feel very guilty but I'm too tired and I have to wake up like 4am the next day to pack my thing and head to Belfast Central Station to get my ticket to Dublin.

Me and my friend wake up at 4am today. She says that her family is coming over this Sunday, therefore she is too excited to sleep. Me? I can't sleep because I slept at 9pm yesterday. But well, I post on her facebook status this : Will not be seeing my family for 2 weeks. Too sad to sleep.

I think at about 5am, my friend go back to sleep. She has to force herself to sleep even though she is still excited because she has class on 10am. Poor girl. Haha. I told her that I will wake her up at 8.45am. And when she wake up, I go to kitchen and made her a cup of mocha-milo. Haha. I think the combination is weird, but it smells so freaking nice.

After my friend go to class, I'm still slacking in her room. I skype with my one of my dear friend back in Penang and I give her my number. She says she sent me a message to my phone but I did not received. Just when both of us try so hard to figure out what's wrong, she suddenly laugh and says " Haha I type the wrong number." LAME!

I am suppose to meet my friend in her university at 12, but I am late because I spend almost half an hour inside toilet. When I finally finish and step out from her hostel, damn it's raining outside! I have to walk like super fast (but still not as fast as those who passes me by) because I don't want to get sick! Winter + Raining day = North Pole.

We decide to go for lunch after I meet my friend. She suggests a few places, but we ended up going to this Japanese restaurant operates by Chinese to eat sushi. The terriyaki chicken isn't so good but the sushi-s are nice.

After our lunch, we decide to take this City Sightseeing bus to tour this beautiful little city. The traffic in Belfast is so heavy today. When we are taking city to go to the meet up point for this city sightseeing bus thing, my friend asks the taxi driver why is the traffic so heavy today. He has no idea too.

The city sightseeing bus is just like the one me and my sister went on when we were in England. It's a open top bus. At first I want to sit at the down part, but then I think the views will be better up there, so we go up to the second floor of the bus. Just like what I said just now, winter + raining day = north pole. I feel like I'm sitting inside a fridge for 90 minutes. Before the tour ends, I finally can't stand the coldness, so I go down to the first floor of the bus. The tour guide Brian is so nice, when he see me walking down, he immediately know that I'm feeling cold so he asks me to sit in front of the heater instead.

When the tour finished, we go to Great Victoria Street to do some shopping. Well, I'm very stingy on this trip, I end up buying a 3GBP umbrella, yes umbrella. Haha. And then we walk to another souveneirs shop to buy something for my family.

Just a little knowledges here. Do you know that Titanic was built in Belfast? Haha. The shops sell this T-shirt written : TITANIC. Built by Irishmen. Sunk by Englishmen. What the ... Haha. It's so funny.

Before we take a cab back to hostel, I stop at this 1 Pound world to buy mineral water. Just like usual, the Q to pay at the counter is so damn long.

I think you did heard about how gentleman Englishmen is, but did you know that Irishman is actually more 'gentleman' than English? I remember when I was in England, I didn't really meet any 'gentle' gentleman there. But here in Ireland, hell they are so 'gentleman'. Of course not only the guys are good, almost everyone here in Ireland are so friendly. I love friendly people! :)

Wake up early this morning because I'm feeling very cold. Try to get back into sleep but I failed. Go to the kitchen to boil hot water and make two cups of milo, one for me and one for my friend. She brings me to the city today. We walk pass the beautiful botanical garden which is just located beside her university. Oh damn there's so many hot guys here. Haha. It takes about 20-25minutes to walk from her hostel to her university.

There's one thai restaurant near her univerisity. The set lunch is quite cheap, 6GBP. We go in and order our lunch. I don't have a high expectation on the thai foods here but when I eat the green curry, I am shocked. It's so nice, just like the original one. I am so happy. When I pay at the counter, I talk to that girl. She say I look like a Thai. Well that's something strange for me because people usually say I look like a Chinese, or Malay. Haha.

There's christmas market in front of city hall. I buy a strawberry tart and I really love it. People over here are so friendly and nice. There's so many stuffs that I really want to buy but I'm afraid that my luggage can keep all the stuffs.

1515 in Belfast and I'm already sleepy because it's 2315 in Malaysia. So we go into this coffee shop. My friend orders coffee and cake. Me, I just need a place to rest, so I just simply order a cup of hot chocolate. This is so far the best hot chocolate that I have ever drink in my life.

There's a small party for my friend's friend in this chinese restaurant. They ask me to go but I'm too tired. Jet lag !!! So I take a cab and go back to hostel to sleep. My friend message me during 2300 something telling me that it's snowing out there. I am so sleepy that I rather sleep than go out to see the snow.

Ah...I miss my family already. <3

December 13rd and 14th, 2011

It's already 9.30pm, we are still in my sister's house. She is getting more and more nervous. And me? I'm extremely calm. I am still sitting on her bed, trying to figure out is there anything that I might forget to pack? 10pm sharp, my sister and her boyfriend send me to airport. After checked in my luggage, they wait with me in Mcd KLIA until 1am. My sister keeps on asking me to postpone my trip. I can see that she is worry about me. Her boyfriend is doing assignment on his laptop.

At 1.30am, I ask them to go home because I have to go to wait at the departure gate. I'm sitting Emirates, so I am not suprise to see many Arabians waiting there. I asked the staffs at Emirates check in counter for a window seat. she said it's all taken but she can give me corridor seat. Well, what choice do I have?

I can't really sleep when I'm in the plane flying from Kuala Lumpur to Dubai. That guy sitting next to me keeps on ordering beers and I can smell beers from his breathe. After 4 or 5 beers, he finally decide to sleep. And then...the worse part starts! He starts to sleep like he's in his own bed. It's really annoying. The other girl sitting at the window seat want to go out to use the bathroom but none of us can wake him. Great!

Dubai airport is really nice, and big. But it's too crowded for me. I want to go to wash my face in toilet but the Q is too long. So I check in to the gate and go to the toilet at the waiting lounge. I would say that the facilities in Dubai airport is much more better compared to Heathrow. I am sitting next to this couple when I'm flying from Dubai to London. The wife tell me that she is working in Africa now and she is going back to London to spend Christmas with her daughter who is studying Fashion in University College don't know what Fashion in Oxford Street. I don't really remember the name but yay I remember I saw this college in Oxford Street.

The immigration officers in London Heathrow Airport let me pass very easily, but when I reach Belfast, the immigration officers stop me and ask me some questions. It's really funny when he ask me :"Can you speak English?" Hell of course I can, it's just I can't really understand your accent.

Take a cab from airport to my friend's place. The driver is really friendly but Im too sleepy and tired to talk to him. When I finally reach my friend's place, I feel so relieve. First thing I do is to take shower, then go to kitchen to eat the spaghetti prepared by my friend. It's so nice of her.

Here comes the funny incident.

So my friend has this single bed in her room and I am like :"We are going to sleep on that? Ah nevermind I'll just sleep on the floor." My friend can't change my mind, so she find something for me to sleep on. And guess what, I actually sleep on two cardboards on the first day. I end up waking up several times at night because it's too cold down there. I swear I'm never gonna sleep on the floor again, at least not on winter time!

Here's the best things about holiday.

You can catch up with friends. Friends who are studying in another states.

You can sleep until you can't sleep anymore.

You can online until 3am.

You can watch movies or dramas until there's no movies and dramas for you to watch. I'm currently trying to finish watching "House m.d." and "NCIS".

You can read books. Okay here's something that I'm proud of. I finish reading 3 books in a day. New Record YAY! Now I'm kinda stuck with reading the super thick book - A Doctor In The House (The memoirs of Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad) and Conversation with Thaksin by Tom Plate. Just trying to figure out what is the life of a politician.

You can go to travel, stay in oversea for a week or more than a week. I love travel. I actually got many invitatin to go travel in Genting, Singapore, Shanghai and India. But since nobody gave me an actual date yet, so I guess I will probably just follow my mum to ChiangRai Thailand. I hope my mum is serious about this vacation in ChiangRai. Haha.

You can go and learn something new. I was planning to go for Spanish language class because there's so many people speaking Spanish in London. Haha. But then I realise there's actually no teacher teaching Spanish in Penang. Maybe there are, I just haven't find one yet. Oh wait I think I planned to go for knitting class too, with my friend Charissa. Have to wait until she is back from KL. ARG!

You can go volunteer. My college mate volunteer to work at CPS - Children's Protection Society.

Oh wait, I forget about something. You can be a driver during holiday too. For example, driver for my two stupid little brothers and some of my friends. This is so not fun.

Me, Shiao Ting and Pei Ching went to picnic on Monday morning.

Wait, I think when I asked Shiao Ting what they gonna do, she said : Play Badminton.

Haha but we end up picnic in youth park, then only go jogging in botanical garden.

You should see what they brought for picnic.

2. Eggs, to eat with bread.

3. Sardine.

4. Bread.

5. Mango.

People were looking at three of us like we are insane when they passed by. Haha.

After picnic before we went to jogging in botanical garden, we went to have fruit juice at a small shop near botanical garden, and also youth park. It's actually in the middle of two of these places.

Shiao Ting and Pei Ching, two of them are really caring friends. They are people who know how to care for others' feeling. I love hanging out with them.

I have so much fun on Monday, before I almost meet an accident and before i heard that fcking bad news. Lol.

Well, what could I say?

I am having too much bad lucks this week.

I almost died because of car accident this Monday.

Then my laptop can't connect to WIFI and I don't know why!

I can still used my brother's computer though... until he decided to set a password on his computer because he is having an issue with me and he don't want to let me use his computer. Lol.

Yesterday, a friend of mine was pissed because I put him aeroplane. ok this one is my fault.

Then today, when I was waiting for my friend outside library, I accidently knocked someone's car.

Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, that kimchi's soup that i bought for my mum spilled on my car's carpet.

I think I should probably just stay home, stay on my bed for the rest of this week.

Actually, I don't really know Ching Mun's sister. I think we only talked to each other for not more than 10 times since I know Ching Mun. Therefore, I'm quite suprised and excited when she invited me to her wedding and the dinner.

P.S. I love the postcard above that has Ching Mun's sister and her husband photo on it. So nice!

Yesterday morning (11.11.11), when we were waiting for the arrival of the groom, I heard Ching Mun's aunty (I guess) asked her sister, "Mun Mun got cry or not?". Her sister was like "Aiyo Mun Mun won't cry wan lah."

Then the other friend of mine, Wen Qin, who was also there told me, "If today my sister is getting marry, I sure will cry wan."

Well guys, I think I will cry non-stop if my sister is getting marry because I still remember the day when she and her boyfriend moved to KL, I cried for few days. Of course, I cried secretly. Haha. Even until now, everytime when I am laying on my bed at night, I will remember all those silly chat and fights we had, then I will start to feel sad again.

May you love and hold each other in the worst of times with trust, faith and belief.

Okay one quick "fact" : Ching Mun's sister and her sister's husband had dated each other for 9 years! Cool huh? :)

3 Reasons to Travel While You’re Young

The other night, I had a conversation with a young woman who had a number of decisions ahead of her, one of which is whether she would go to grad school or travel the world.

I told her to travel. Hands down. No excuse. Just go.

She sighed.

“Yeah, but…”

Never were more fatal words spoken.

Yeah, but… what about debt?Yeah, but… what about my job?Yeah, but… what about my boyfriend (or dog or car or whatever)?

“Yeah, but…” is pernicious. Because it makes it sound like we have the best of intentions when really we are just too scared to do what we should.

It allows us to be cowards, while sounding noble.

Most people I know who waited to travel the world never did. Conversely, plenty of people who waited for grad school or a steady job and traveled still did those things — eventually.

Be careful of the yeah-but. The yeah-but will kill your dreams.

I was so stirred by this conversation that I shared it with a group of about thirty young adults last night, many of which are asking these very questions.

The life you’ve always wanted

When you get older, life seems to just sort of happen to you. Your youth is a time of total empowerment.

You get to do what you want. As you mature and gain new responsibilities, you have to be very intentional about making sure you don’t lose sight of what’s important.

So if you still have a reasonable amount of control over your circumstances, you should do what really matters. Because life won’t always be just about you.

During early adulthood, your worldview is still being formed. It’s important to steward this time — to give yourself opportunities to grow. A good way to do that is to travel.

So, young person, travel.

Travel wide and far.
Travel boldly.
Travel with full abandon.

You will regret few risks you take, when it comes to this. I promise you.

There are three reasons to travel while you’re young:

1. Traveling teaches you to live an adventure

When you look back on your life, you will have moments of which you are proud and maybe a few you regret. It’s likely that the following won’t be on the latter list:

Bicycled across the Golden Gate Bridge.
Appeared on Italian TV.
Hiked a Mayan ruin.
Learned Spanish in three months.
Toured Europe by train.

They’re not on mine (fun fact: I’ve done all of the above)

What, then, will be?

Holding back.
Being afraid.
Making excuses.
Not taking more risks.
Waiting.

While you’re young, you should travel.

You should take the time to see the world and taste the fullness of life. It is worth whatever monetary investment or time sacrifice that is required on your part.

It’s not about being a tourist. It’s about learning the importance of experiencing true risk and adventure so that you don’t have to live in fear for the rest of your life.

2. Traveling helps you encounter compassion

In your youth, you will make choices that will define you. The disciplines you begin now will be with you for the rest of your life.

Traveling will change you like little else can. It will put you in places that will force you to care for issues that are bigger than you.

If you go to southeast Asia, you may encounter the slave trade. If eastern Europe, you may see the effects of genocide and religious persecution. If Haiti, you’ll witness the the ugly side Western paternalism.

Your heart will break.

You will begin to understand that the world is both a big and small place. You will have a newfound respect for the pain and suffering that over half of the world takes for granted on a daily basis. And you will feel more connected to your fellow human beings in a deep and lasting way.

You will learn to care.

3. Traveling allows you to get some culture

While you’re still young, you should get cultured. Get to know the world and the magnificent people that fill it.

There’s nothing quite like walking alongside the Coliseum or seeing Michelangelo’s David in person. I can describe the city of San Juan and its amazing beaches and historic sites to you, but you really have to see it for yourself to experience it. You can read all the books in the world about the Great Wall of China or The Louvre, but being there is a different story.

The world is a stunning place, full of outstanding works of art. See it.

Do this while you’re still young. Do not squander this time. You will never have it again.

You have a crucial opportunity to invest in the next season of your life now. Whatever you sow, you will eventually reap.

Please. For your sake, do this.

You won’t always be young. And life won’t always be just about you. So travel. Experience the world for all it’s worth. Become a person of culture, adventure, and compassion.

“What if I’m not young?”

Travel, anyway. It may not be easy to do, but find a way to get out of your comfort zone. It’s really never too late.

But if you haven’t gotten sucked into the routine of life yet, I implore you — travel. It will never be easier than it is right now for you to do that which really matters.

NEGATIVE RELATIONSHIPS

Certain relationships can become emotionally draining, and they can even leave you feeling mentally abused and take advantage of.

I used to know someone who I considered a good friend, but the reality was that he would only be a good friend if he wanted something from me. He would never call me just to hang out—only when he needed a lift or place to stay. Eventually I decided that it was time to let go.

I’ve also been in relationships with girls that involved unnecessary jealousy and competition to see who’s right or better.

I know that it can be very difficult to end a relationship like this because there are feelings involved. You have some sort of history together and you hope in vain that things will get better. But these relationships can be toxic.

Be polite and let the person know how you feel, but be prepared to cut them out your life entirely if they’re not willing to make any adjustments.

You’ll be amazed at how much energy and enthusiasm you’ll have after you cut out all the negative and emotionally draining relationships in your life.

I'm not a shopaholic. And when I shop, I usually prefer to shop with my family or friends but not alone.

But this really short trip to Singapore...erhmmm... I can't believe that I actually had become a shopalic. Luckily, not a serious one. I think I'm still at the 'beginner level'. Haha.

So I went to shop at Marina Bay Sands Shopping Malls and bought two really beautiful Swarovski pen.

One for my sister and one for me. Lol.

Oh forget to mention about the High Tea that we had in TWG. Love their tea, not their Macarons. I mean, I am never the fans of macarons. We ordered it because my aunt and her friend want to eat.

Had dinner at a chinese restaurant in Marina Bay Sands hotel.

Then the next morning, I woke up and just walked to H&M, which is just beside my hotel and shop alone, then go to Paragon to shop for my daddy's clothes, then go back to Takashimaya to buy Royce chocolate. For me, every chocolates taste the same but Royce chocolate is different. They are very good! Much more better than Godiva. :)
P.S. I listen to my friend's advise and stay in Mandarin Orchard. Nice hotel, nice staffs. Everything nice.

Before I came home, me and my aunt went to our favourite Japanese restaurant - Tatsuya to have our dinner.
Tatsuya is the main reason why I wanted to go to Singapore with my aunt. POWER OF THE FOODS. Plus, the staffs in Tatsuya are very friendly and nice.

Well, so this is my two days one night luxury trip. Hopefully there's will more and more luxury trips for me. Lol. I'm kinda tired with backpacking for now ady. Have to change my travel style once in a while. Backpack - Luxury - Backpack - Luxury. Haha..

General Paper is finally down. Two more subjects and four more papers to go.
Still have like 2 weeks time to prepare for my Economics and Maths.

Going for a really really short trip soon. Actually I don't feel like going now but too bad I had already booked the ticket. Lesson learnt. Do not make any decision when your mind is not clear.

Lol. I laughed not because I'm happy that I'm going to fail but it's because of the way they speak.
